Terms and privacy

The rules of CONQUER THE UNIVERSE, in plain words. Last update: September 26, 2026.

What you buy

A star name. You pick one star on this website. The name and the message you choose show on that star, and the star turns gold. Each star can have one name only.

Squares in the sky. Every square is its own auction, starting at $1. You bid on a block of squares (up to 6×6) with one image and your link. While you lead a square, your image shows there. When the auction ends, the top bid on each square wins, and your image stays on the squares you won.

A planet auction. When the auction ends, the top bid wins. The winner's image shows in the big circle next to that planet or moon.

This is a place on a website. You do not buy a real star, a real planet, or any right over them. The sky of this website is not an official star registry.

How long it stays

Your star name or image stays in the sky for as long as CONQUER THE UNIVERSE is online. We want to keep it online for many years. If we ever have to close it, we will tell you by email first.

How the auctions work (planets and squares)

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Stripe handles the payment. We never see your card number.

When you pay, you also get a receipt by email.

No cancel after it is up

Your star name or image goes up right after you pay. Before you pay, you tick a box to say you want it up now and you know you can not cancel once it is up. By law (EU rules for digital content), this means there is no 14-day right to cancel.

If something goes wrong on our side, we give all your money back. For example: someone else got the same star or squares a moment before you. This happens by itself, and we tell you by email.

What you can put in the sky

We check every name and image with automatic tools before you pay. Anyone can report an image. We can hide or remove content that breaks these rules.

Privacy

What we keep: your email; the names, messages, images and links you give us; your bids. For auctions, Stripe keeps your card; we only keep a code from Stripe. To stop abuse we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address, never the address itself.

Why: to show what you bought, to send you emails about it (receipts, auction news), and to stop abuse. We never sell your data and we show no ads.

What everyone can see: the names, messages, images, links and brand names in the sky, and the names on the bids. Your email is never public.

Who helps us: Stripe (payments), Vercel (the website and the visit counts), Upstash (the database, in Frankfurt), and our email service (Resend).

On your device: the site saves small notes in your browser so it remembers your star. No tracking cookies.

Visits: we count visits and a few steps (like "opened a planet" or "started to pay") with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and does not know who you are.

How long: as long as your star or image is in the sky. Payment records stay as long as the law asks (for taxes).

Your rights: you can ask to see, fix or delete your data. Write to support@conqueruniverse.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
